In the wealthiest nations, it’s nearly unthinkable: a child so desperate for food they’d do anything to ease their hunger. Yet, in Ukraine, Pakistan, and Russian Siberia, this is a heartbreaking reality. These children don’t understand why they’re caught in such pain. In Ukraine, they wonder why war has torn their world apart, why their mother weeps, and why their father never comes home. In Pakistan, they question why their neighbor thrives while they and their siblings share scraps. In Siberia, no one explains why society shuns them for their parents’ mistakes. Their confusion and hunger pierce the heart—and we can’t look away.
Be the Light for Hungry Children
Every day, River of Faith Ministry’s volunteers find these children and their families, offering not just daily bread and essentials like clothing and school supplies, but a glimpse of a better world—a life in Christ, free from animosity, envy, and injustice. We share the peace of our Lord, showing them a path to hope and healing. The results are miraculous: in Siberia, Mariupol, Donetsk, Novosibirsk, and Lahore, children now lead their parents by the hand to church, listening intently to sermons. Young students, some still in secondary school, repent, study Scripture, and turn away from the streets, striving to grow spiritually—and it’s working.
But the need is growing. More families living below the poverty line turn to us each year, and the demand stretches our resources thin.
