One of River of Faith’s main missionary activities is
Gospel presentation to people of the former Soviet Union and all other countries, where Christianity for the longest time was under an embargo.
Since the first days of River of Faith missionary activity, we were actively lobbied for sending of tapes and literature to Soviet Union’s people on behalf of many Christians living in other countries in order to avoid onfiscation. The broadcasting of the Good News was on short waves in the direction of the “Iron Curtain”, where they were actively tried to be dampened. Nevertheless, many people under the atheistic terror avidly snatched the words of truth away from the sibilant and whistling of the airwaves. We can find out only in the heavens how many people has helped the mission of Gospel presentation to obtain heavenly citizenship.
For the 50 years of activity of our Missions the main goal remains the same: – execution of great instruction of the Lord: “Go, therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” (Matthew 28:19).
Today we have a few branches thanks to which we giving a helping hand who really need our help. Our branches in Pakistan (Lahore, Okara) help children and widows involved in evangelization, where the weekly meetings, devotions for women are held, leading Sunday school, and spreading of Bibles and Christian literature in local languages. Ukrainian branches are located in Vinnitsa, Mariupol, and Donetsk. Vinnitsa conducts the Gospel presentations for children in Russian and Ukrainian languages. The devotion makes radio broadcasting every day that teaches children math and reading and writing and inculating the Christian attributes: prudence, courage, justice, faith, temperance, love, and hope.
The Mariupol branch is actively assisting special children from troubled families, orphans, and people in difficult situations. Mariupol devotion helps not only with kind words, but also organizes summer camps, and is taking festivals for Christians, also provides help to those people who really need it, and distributes the food baskets to people required, which really help low-income families to survive in the conditions of total unemployment and believe that in a gray, exhausted world after the recent war there is hope for Salvation.
In spite of the war destroyed the previously good region, our Donetsk devotion is operates and is going everything possible to help the affected region. Every week the Donetsk branch distributes bread to starving pensioners, children, disabled people, single mothers, and widows – those people who have lost everything during this terrible fratricidal war.
We are especially proud of our Donetsk branch. Donetsk devotion is operates the church meetings and organizes rest for local children and attempt to divert them from the terrible pictures that pursue these people in everyday life.

The Samara devotion is operates in a local hospice. Our pastors tell people who are in the last stages of cancer about God and help them find the way to the Kingdom of Heaven and repent. It is a very difficult daily work that requires the best efforts because every day our devotion see fear in the eyes of doomed people, and inspires their hearts in salvation.
The Novosibirsk branch works with prisoners and their families. Every day our church ministers are visiting the Siberian prisons and try to extract the souls from the “Demon jaws”, and after Novosibirsk pastors go to their families and help the children from whom the society has looked away for sins of their parents. They bring them food and tell them about Baby Jesus and inspire in their hearts the faith that the Lord is charitable and ready to forgive the mistakes of adults.
Thanks to this devotion more than 5,000 people already repented in the past 10 years, some of the prisoners began to conduct the devotion themselves, thereby helping “the same people”.
The Uzbekistan branch of the Mission is located in Tashkent. Its main missions are evangelization and help orphanages with deaf and dumb children abandoned by their parents because of health problems. As part of a project, an evangelization which was once an atheistic and then exclusively Muslim country, ministers of our branch devotion have been able to distribute thousands of copies of Bibles and attract new members join to the underground church. Up to the present day, our pastors in Uzbekistan are pursued by enforcement agencies, but they preach and bring the Word of God to those who need its help.
They are also very actively work with orphanages for the deaf and dumb children in Uzbekistan. Our ministers visit these children each month, buy stationery and fruits for them. When the pastors come to the orphanages with an entertainment and educational program that makes the children feel needed and gives them hope for a bright future. The children always meet our group with joy and are counting the days until their next visit.
Our branch in Israel evangelizes the local population, holds weekly public devotions that support Messianic Jews, and helps lost souls find their way to the Lord. In these meetings, we tell of our Lord miracles and study the Word of God in detail. In spite of the difficult political situation in Israel, our church was complemented with new members constantly.
River of Faith (ex. WTR) in Sacramento has been operating since 1972, and during that long time we have been associated with various organizations such as: “Focus on the Family” with Dr. Dobson, IRO The International Refugee Organization the Union of Pacific Christian Baptists, and many others.
In its early days, our Mission is focused on the radio program “the Good News,” which provides people of the former Soviet Union through the “Iron Curtain spiritual sustenance on a daily basis, and also focused on sponsorship of the Soviet underground Christian printing offices. Our staff tried to visit underground churches in the Soviet Union as soon as ever they can and help spread God’s Word to people subjected to atheistic behavior.
